<>Describe all the characters who are visible in these two views; indicate who these characters are, what their attributes are (including distinctive items of dress), and specify what they are doing. How do the two representations differ in narrative content (including the spectator figures), and in the moment of the story that is depicted in each case? Next, compare and contrast the two heroes, as well as the two monsters. How are the heroes and monsters similar and/or different in their poses, and in the treatment of their bodies and heads? Which representation do you find to be more heroic, and why have you arrived at this conclusion?

Then continue your answer, writing your response on back pages if need
be. First, elucidate the whole narrative content of each image;
describe any indications of setting in each work, and identify all the
characters and their attributes, and explain all their
activities. In the case of the principal female character,
describe her dress or lack of it. What common thematic elements
are in both representations, and how are the two depictions similar in
their compositions? Is there a consistent mood in each
representation, and what has led you to your conclusion? Finally,
which depiction do you feel more effectively conveys the story, and
what has led you to your judgment?
